5 oz plain white flour (175g)<br />
1 oz Chia Bia (replace plain white flour with Chia Bia) i.e. 2oz Chia to 4oz plain white flour<br />
¼ teaspoon salt<br />
2 level teaspoons baking powder<br />
¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg (optional)<br />
¼ teaspoon mixed spice<br />
6oz butter or margarine<br />
6oz soft brown sugar<br />
3oz Currants (75g)<br />
Small chopped apple (optional)<br />
1 egg<br />
1-2 tablespoons milk</p>
<p>Pre-heat oven to gas mark 5 (375 deg.f) (190 deg.c)                                                                                      </p>
<p>1 or 2 large baking sheets.  Well greased.</p>
<p>Method:</p>
<p>Mix the flour, chia, salt, baking power &amp; sugar in a bowl, making sure you get all the little lumps out of the sugar, then add the spices and rub in the butter (or margarine) until the mixture looks like fine breadcrumbs and lastly, stir in the fruit. Now break the egg into a separate bowl and whisk it lightly with a fork, add it to the flour mixture. Stir until the mixture forms stiff dough (you may need to add a tablespoon or two of milk.)  Pile the mixture in irregular spiky heaps on greased baking sheets. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.</p>

<p>2 tins granoVita Nut Luncheon<br />
2 mixed bell peppers (preferably 2 different colours)<br />
1 medium onion<br />
2 cloves garlic<br />
Half a teaspoon of chilli pepper<br />
1 teaspoon of sesame oil<br />
2 tablespoons of coconut oil<br />
1 cup of cooked beans (cannelloni or butter beans) optional<br />
Small bunch of spring onions finely chopped<br />
2 cups of water<br />
Salt to taste<br />
Turmeric powder (1 tablespoon)<br />
Mixed herbs<br />
Thyme leaves (fresh)</p>
<p>Method:</p>
<ul>
<li>Heat the coconut oil until hot and toss in the chopped onion and garlic, fry until brown and add spring onions and chopped peppers and simmer for 3 minutes.</li>
<li>Add beans and chilli to sauce, fry for 2 minutes and add 1 cup of water and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.</li>
<li>Then add the Nut Luncheon to the sauce with the tumeric powder, mixed herbs and thyme leaves.</li>
<li>Stir and leave to simmer on low heat for 7 minutes.</li>
<li>Add salt to taste and then add 3 drops of sesame oil, stir in and cover for a minute.</li>
<li>Turn heat off and take lif off.</li>

<p>Method:</p>
<p>Chop into medium pieces the onion, green and red peppers and mushrooms, crush and chop finely the garlic and fry gently in a little vegetable oil until soft.  (If using Mock Duck chop and add at this point, frying gently for approximately 5 further minutes).  Add the seasonings: Season-All, Jamaican Jerk seasoning, Soy Sauce, brown sugar and allow to continue frying gently for a further 1 minute.  Then add the tinned tomatoes and a generous squirt of tomato sauce and allow to simmer on a low heat, add a little water if desired or required.  Check for taste.</p>
<p>In the meantime, open at tin of Nut Luncheon (if using) by removing both ends of the tin.  Use a long knife to loosen the product from the sides of the tin.  Replace one of the ends, and using a cup or glass push the product out of the tin.  Slice the product to the desired thickness and shallow fry on a medium heat in a little vegetable oiil until lightly browned. Place on some kitchen towel to remove any excess oil.  Arrange the slices in a shallow serving dish and pour the sauce you have made over them.  Serve immediately and enjoy.</p>

<p>1 Tin granovita Nut Luncheon<br />
1 Egg<br />
A little soya milk<br />
Seasonsed breadcrumbs<br />
Vegetable Oil (or your oil of choice)</p>
<p>Method:<br />
Open your tin of Nut Luncheon by removing both ends of the tin.  Use a long knife to loosen the product from the sides of the tin.  Replace one of the ends, and using a cup or glass push the product out of the tin.  Slice the Nut Luncheon to desired thickness.  Beat the egg with a little soya milk and put to one side.  Make your own wholemeal breadcrumbs using the ends of your wholemeal loaf.  Cut into small pieces and place in a food processor or liquidiser, or you can simply crumble the pieces with your fingers until they resemble breadcrumbs.   Season the breadcrumbs with a little of your favourite seasoning, or you can just use a little salt and pepper.  Dip the slices of Nut Luncheon into the beaten egg and milk mixture and then coat with the breadcrumbs.</p>
<p>Pour a little oil into a frying pan and bring to a medium heat.  Place breadcrumbed slices of Nut Luncheon into the frying pan frying gently until they are lightly browned.  Remove from the pan and place on some kitchen towel to remove any excess oil.  Eat and enjoy!</p>
<p>Alternatively, you may grill your breadcrumbed Nut Luncheon.  Place under grill on medium heat until lightly browned.</p>
